A cool thing has occurred.

Back in March, the City of Durham launched a search for someone to run an ADU pilot program. The city would offer low-interest funds, and homeowners would use those funds to create equitable housing.
Coram applied to run t We’re here, imagining, dreaming, and building the community and connectedness we’re longing for. 

This is a duplex version of our “Jackson” model currently going up in Walltown. Dear Neighbor friends,

It’s been a while since we’ve posted. 
A long while.

In that silence, much has happened/is happening—personally, internally at Coram, communally, globally…

I&r Greetings neighbors

The seeds of Coram were planted during the first Trump term.

It was as if he lifted a veil. We could see ourselves, our history, our deep wounds reflected back at us in a way we hadn’t in awhile.

He embodied so much of th Ahhhhh what a time to be alive.

Pictured here is our FIRST duplex ADU (accessory dwelling unit), and a short video of me not knowing how to work my phone camera.

This building has 2 - 400 square foot - 1 bed/1 bath homes stacked on top of each othe I’ll never cease to be inspired by dreams becoming reality.

Dreams are a powerful thing, and the work between the dream and manifestation of it is worthy of celebration.

So many hands, minds, and hearts went into this ADU.

We’re having The last time I posted a tree branch that had fallen through Robin’s roof. We asked for help. 

You all immediately lovingly gave. 

In a world that can be and has been so messy, painful, and demoralizing to exist in—it was a lovely thing Many of you know Robin. 
Many of you don’t. 

She is a long time pillar of the East Durham community whose community work and presence are more than I can detail here.

She is currently building a tiny home in her backyard for an unhoused veter Hey Neighbor Friends!

We are having a lil open house at one of our recently finished lil houses!
