This gorgeous multi-purpose backyard space seamlessly incorporates creativity, comfort, and practicality.

Sun shining through a tiny community—this is a 4-unit project we’re really proud of! Hope all our Durham friends are enjoying the warmer weather this week. 🌞 We at Coram appreciated the slow-down at the end of last year. We hope you enjoyed your holiday with friends, family, and community. Cheers to 2026! 🥂 About a year ago, a couple with 2 young kids reached out to Coram in hopes of a home in their yard for an aging parent.

They hoped for the kids having sleepovers at Grandma’s.

They hoped for a place for Grandma to live and to be close, and se Even though the endless news cycle seems to have moved on, the team at Coram is still feeling profoundly affected by the aftereffects of Hurricane Melissa. Our team has folks from both Jamaica and Haiti, and at our team meeting last week, news was sh Hey Neighbors!

At the corner of Carlton and Gurley is a lovely old house, and the homeowner @ad_realty_group reached out wanting to create some equitable & beautiful housing that fit the aesthetic of the neighborhood, that honored its history, a A cool thing has occurred.

Back in March, the City of Durham launched a search for someone to run an ADU pilot program. The city would offer low-interest funds, and homeowners would use those funds to create equitable housing.

This is a duplex version of our “Jackson” model currently going up in Walltown.
